Options for students to participate
The 2025 Symposium offers PSU LV students the opportunity to share two kinds of work.
Student presenters - Present a poster
- This opportunity is best suited to students who wish to share completed work or work that has made significant progress (e.g., initial findings).
- These students will prepare a research poster and present their posters and work to Symposium attendees.
- Posters and presentations will be evaluated by judges. More details about judging criteria and poster preparation, as well as links to judging rubrics, can be found on the Undergraduate Research Symposium Judging Criteria webpage.

Key information for student presenters and student exhibitors:
To be eligible for participation in the PSU-LV Undergraduate Research Symposium as a student presenter (eligible for judging):
- A student must be a currently registered student at the Penn State Lehigh Valley campus.
- The research must be conducted under the mentorship of a Penn State faculty member.
- The research work must be completed in the same academic year corresponding to the date of the symposium (e.g., work completed in summer 2024, fall 2024, and spring 2025 is eligible for the 2025 Symposium).
Students are welcome to author/co-author multiple posters. However, in order for judging to be effective and fair, each poster must have at least one designated student present during the Q&A session assigned to them. Therefore, each student can submit only one solo-authored poster and be designated as primary presenter for only one poster. Students may co-author additional posters, but other students must be listed as primary presenters for those posters.
Winners may be invited to participate in the Regional Undergraduate Research Symposium held on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at the Penn State Lehigh Valley campus.
